Vintage 1956 Masudaya Oldsmobile Radicon Tin Car Modern Toys Japan For Display

Thank you for your understanding. Vintage Masudaya "Radicon" Oldsmobile tin car, made in Japan in the mid-1950s. One of the earliest radio-controlled toy cars, produced by Modern Toys Masudaya Industrial Co. The model is crafted in red lithographed tin with metal trim and rubber tires, marked "Trade Mark Modern Toys Japan" with multiple patent numbers.

The car does not function. The front tires turn only to the right.

Both front and rear windows are cracked. Missing antenna, radio-control unit, and original box.

Rust visible on bumpers and underside; minor dents, oxidation, and age-related wear. Width: 35 cm / 13.78 in. Height: 10 cm / 3.93 in. Depth: 15 cm / 5.90 in.

Made in Japan, circa 1956. The Radicon series by Masudaya was the world's first battery-operated radio-controlled toy car, a landmark in postwar Japanese tin toy production. The condition of the item is accurately shown in the attached photos.
