The friction motor works very well. When the wheels are in motion, the doggy bounces up and down in his seat. There is supposed to be a barking sound (it is really like a squeak) but there is no noise from the car. There is a little paper bellows in the car that often loses it sound over the years.
This is a great tin friction car in excellent condition. This example isn't perfect but it is a really nice example that would look great in any tin collection.
