The car measures 11 inches or 28 centimeters long and it is complete and all original. The Buick is completely original with no touch ups or repairs.
The car is in very good/excellent, lightly played with condition. The paint is a beautiful medium to deep blue and it has a very nice gloss. There are some small scratches and chips in the paint and there is an area on the right side of the truck where there are some tiny white drips. They are hard to see unless you are close up but they are there.
The chrome trim is in gorgeous condition, bright and shiny with almost no wear. The base has a few scratches and scrapes but they are minor. The tires and hubcaps are in excellent condition and the friction motor works very well. This car has an interesting feature, the steering wheel is attached to a gear system on the inside of the base; the steering wheel when turned manually also turns the front wheels of the car. There appears to be two versions of this Buick, the version you usually see has a different steering wheel; it is a part of the interior and has no functional use. This car has the steering wheel that also turns and steers the front tires. The litho on the interiors are also different. This is a beautiful car with some minor flaws in the paint but still looks great.. It is pictured on page 23 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars. Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos.
