The Dragon racer sticks to the primary colors of red, yellow and blue and uses them well. The car is in very good, lightly played with condition. The colors are vivid and the surface of the racer has a nice gloss. The metal has been polished to a nice shine and the tires and hubcaps are all in good condition. The friction motor works well.
One strange thing about this racer is that the tabs on each side of the racer are cleanly broken off, in fact it looks as if they were never there. The back tab and the two front tabs hold the racer together securely so it doesn't seem to be much of an issue. There is a very small area near the numeral one where the paint has been touched up.It is on one side of the racer only and it is an area a less than the size of a dime. The base is in very good condition. The JTY racers are pictured in the back section of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars Commercial and Racing Vehicles.
The Dragon racer is not among them but you get a general idea. While not perfect, the racer is a very nice example of a hard to find racer. Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos.
