The racer measures 6 inches or a little over 15 centimeters long. It is in complete condition. This is a very nice looking tin friction racer with a working friction motor. While it has been partially restored, it is still mostly original.
The base and driver's helmet have been repainted. The body of the racer is well over 95 percent original, but it does have a few small paint touch ups.
They are a terrific match, you have to look closely at the surface of the tin to see them. Yonezawa made several of these racers, all the exact same size and with all the same chrome trim and same head. It appears to me that the base might belong to one of the other racers although it doesn't really make any difference in the way the vehicle looks, as all the racers and bases were about the same. I really love this racer; I think it looks great but it does have some "flaws".Yonezawa made many great tin friction racers, this one is small but mighty and a really nice, partially restored tin friction car. Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos.
