I've included a photo of the car from Ron Smith and William C. Gallagher's "The Big Book of Tin Toy Cars".
They rate this car a 10 in terms of rarity, with an extremely high dollar value. This may well be the only boxed version of this car that you will ever see.
This hard to find 1926 Franklin measures approximately 10 long. (25.4 cm) 4.75" wide (12.1 cm) and 4" tall (10.2 cm). This is a windup car with battery-operated headlights and a taillight. The windup works as it should and the original key is with the car.
I don't know about the headlights and the taillight, as I don't have a 1920s Japanese battery. The car is totally original including the lithography, the painted top and the chrome plated fenders, running boards, headlights and bumpers. Of course the chrome does show its 90 years of age, but it is still spectacular and totally original.
The battery clamp does have a spot of rust, but I think it just underscores the originality of. The lithographed wheels are excellent as it the fender mounted spare tire.
The old box is very crisp and features an outstanding illustrated label that is simply fabulous. This would be a very nice anchor car for any Japanese tin car collection. And some countries can take 4-6 weeks. The item "Super Rare 1920's Franklin Prewar Japanese Tin Car withOriginal Box NR" is in sale since Sunday, January 31, 2016.
