Rare Tin Friction 1961 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible 12 Car Yonezawa- Japan
Very Rare, Very Collectible Vintage Tin Litho 1961 Oldsmobile Super 88 convertible Friction car with working windshield wipers by Yonezawa of Japan. Attractive, bright Yellow paint with some scratches here and there. Bright, crisp and clear Three-tone blue and white interior litho on the seats and dash board. Just above the convertible boot, is Cragstan; Y (Yonezawa); and Made in Japan.
The tin toy was manufactured by Yonezawa. A "Quality" Japanese Tin Toy maker of the era. The dashboard has "Super 88" Lithographed where the glove box would be. The Lithograph detail is complete with speedometer, radio and controls. The floor in front and back is black and red "carpet" Litho detail.A plastic steering wheel and raised black tin convertible boot completes the cockpit of the car. The windshield frame has a "crimp". The chrome parts and the underside of the car have some light corrosion/tarnish here and there. The celluloid windshield is original and in good shape.
The tires still have clear tread with no flat spots. The car rolls well with strong and smooth friction. When the friction is engaged, the windshield wipers move back and forth in unison.
This All Original vintage tin toy car measures an impressive 12 long and makes and Awesome display.
