Here for your consideration is an original, complete, and working Charlie McCarthy tin lithograph bump-n-go "Crazy Car", made by American toy maker Marx in the mid-1930's. This is the real deal - all original paint and graphics, with Charlie at the wheel of his trusty Crazy Car... This extra special tin car works perfectly, when wound gently a few times. The car moves forward, in reverse, and in circles, as the front wheels spin in a 360 degree motion and Charlie's head turns around and around.

Quite an entertaining toy for its day, when Edgar Bergen and his beloved Charlie McCarthy could be heard on radio broadcasts all across the country. The car measures a full 8" long, 3" wide and 6 1/2 high. This is a beautiful example of very fine tin lithography and good old fashioned American ingenuity!
