HUGE MALCOLM CAMPBELL BLUEBIRD LAND SPEED racing car BUFFALO TOYS TINPLATE TIN

MASSIVE SIZE "CLOCKWORK" LAND SPEED RECORD CAR. MALCOLM CAMPBELL'S LEGENDARY BLUEBIRD. RARELY SEEN TINPLATE TIN TOY CAR. Tin toy racer is now getting on for 90 years old. I've owned this a long time....

Car has survived in great shape. Original finish, with its blue body work, and glittering gold underside!

Amazingly, all the exhaust ports still in place.... Still with its tin red wheels, driver and decals/emblems. Bluebird even has her front rubber bumper stop...

Which always seem to go missing. The unique spiral winding system still works... Hold and steadily pull the rear knob outwards to wind up the motor.. Release, and off she goes!

The cockpit windshield is a simple plastic fitting... Condition is great, especially considering how old this is..... There's the odd imperfection dink in body (mostly from manufacture process i think)...

And odd scratch, rub mark, scuff, chip to finish... But still bright and attractive..... The underside has only minimal scuffs etc... And retains its lovely golden finish. I RARELY WIND UP THE MECHANISM, AND IT REALLY WANTS AN EXTENSIVE FLAT SOLID SURFACE TO RUN ACROSS....

BUT WITH A CAREFUL WINDING , I JUST RUN IT OVER KITCHEN WORK TOP..... ALL JUST FINE, THOUGH NO NEW LAND SPEED RECORD! See short video clip below. GENUINE VINTAGE, ALMOST ANTIQUE TOY....
