This listing is for a red and black cast iron replica of the famous and fabulous Hubley Packard toy car that was originally produced in very low numbers in the later 1920s or early 1930s. The last photo may be a bit confusing because this replica red and black toy is shown with a similar maroon and black toy that was one of 50 built by Tom Sehloff back in 1994.

Neither the maroon and black Tom Sheloff toy nor the green and black die-cast model are part of this listing. They are shown for your reference only to show how similar they are in size.

The original Hubley Packard was a fabulously detailed toy that had both sides of the hood and both of the front doors that opened. The amount of play value on that toy was incredible. This replica has those same operating features. Those operating features on the original toy were so fragile and damage prone, that an original toy that has not had repairs of some kind is extremely difficult to find.

Since most of the original Hubley Packards have been repaired, I decided several years ago that I could be happy with a nice replica toy instead of an original toy. Thanks a lot, Bob Woodburn in Bozeman Montana USA.
