This antique hill climber toy car is in good original condition with some age related wear. It is an excellent model of an early automobile and dates to around 1903. The body is constructed of wood with tin metal skin over the top and a tin metal bench seat. The chassis/ frame is made of brass, and the wheels, flywheel, and driver, and steering wheel look to be cast iron. The maroon colored paint is original and shows age related chipping primarily to the tin metal skin.
The car is complete with all original parts. The original "hill-climber" flywheel motor is in proper working order and works like an early friction toy. The car measures about 7-1/4 long. These vintage hill climber toys are highly collectible, particularly the replicas of early cars such as this one. This example is complete with all original parts and in good original condition with some age related paint wear.It is in proper working order and displays beautifully. This would make a great addition to any antique hill climber or toy collection or would display beautifully on a shelf or in a curio cabinet.
