The first Corgi Aston Martin DB5 was born out of a meeting held by Eon Productions, the owners of the James Bond franchise, in the summer of 1965 to discuss the promotion of their next Bond Film Thunderball. Following the meeting, agreement was reached for Playcraft to release the first Corgi Aston Martin DB5, the (C261) in October of that year, two months before the release of Thunderball, and almost a year after it first hit the screens around the world in Goldfinger.

I have the pleasure here of owning one of those "Original Aston Martin C261 Gold 1965 DB5's" complete, untouched and in "Fantastic Condition".. I always photograph my items from close up, and at different angles using a good quality camera, (not all sellers do this) as I feel that this gives buyers a true and honest representation of the item for sale. Paint Work, all Authentic, no resprays or touching up (very small chips here and there, i'm being picky here though, so as not to disappoint). Bullet Proof Rear Windshield Works Perfect.

Ejector Seat works Perfect, locks down, flips up Perfect. Tyres are all Original and in Perfect Condition. Suspension front and rear Very Good. Roof not quite flush, not many are, but never the less this sits almost perfect. Bond and Bond Baddie both originals.
