Bandai Messerschmitt Friction Three-Wheel Tin Car- Black Japan (1957)

The friction motor no longer functions normally; the wheels spin, but there's no resistance when pulled backwards. This is an authentic, vintage 1950's Japanese Bandai tin litho Messerschmitt 3-wheel friction car in black. This would make a great display piece and would also be an awesome addition to any early Bandai toy collection! These Messerschmitt Frictions are incredibly hard to find in good condition, especially in black.

The underside of the car is in very good condition, with some mild yellowing. The body of the car has some wear, which I've done my best to show clearly in the photos above. Both the bubble-roof canopy and interior of the car are brightly colored and in fantastic shape. The chrome parts have light tarnishing in spots, but overall the chrome remains in great shape. Note, the antenna has a very slight bend, which is only obvious when it's fully extended; see photo 4 above.
