MURRAY FIRE TRUCK PEDAL CAR. ITEM: ONE (1) MURRAY PEDAL CAR.
MODEL: FLAT FACE FIRETRUCK with LADDER RACKS. DESCRIPTION: This is a SCARCE, ALL ORIGINAL Murray fire truck / ladder truck pedal car manufactured in the late 1960s! An identical model is pictured in 1968 Murray toy advertisements with 5-position adjustable pedals. We located this pedal car last year in Virginia Beach, Virginia.Includes ladder racks, bell, plastic windshield, and light / siren. Light / siren is broken from its white metal base, but can be easily restored or replaced. A great addition to your vintage pedal car or fire fighting memorabilia collection! Red plastic siren / horn has detached from its pot metal base, but can be easily reattached.
The red light did not work with our batteries, but there is no internal corrosion -- should function with a little TLC. Vertical crack in red plastic siren lens. Windshield had a windshield wiper attached to it at some point, but it is now missing. The nuts on the bolts are very bright, so may have been replaced at some point.
