Another difficult to find Japanese tin car by Yonezawa with the original box. This beautifully styled Cadillac 4-door hardtop measures approximately 22" long (55.9 cm) by 8 wide (20.3 cm) and 5.25" tall (13.3 cm).
This is an extremely nice looking and all original Cadillac, with a wonderful lithographed interior and bright tin trim. The metallic red paint looks terrific and the three-tone blue, silver and green accented interior adds a bright, colorful contrast. The car features nicely detailed tin trim including headlamps; tail lamps, grill and door handles, all of which are in terrific condition. The baseplate is very nice and is original. Tires and hubcaps are in excellent condition as are the celluloid windows.
This car displays beautifully, and the friction works, as it should. The old original box has been repaired in spots from the inside and then shrink-wrapped for protection. The corrugated bottom of the box was replaced. Big cars in this kind of condition are truly hard to find and an original box is almost impossible. Ron Smith and William C.Gallagher's "The Big Book of Tin Toy Cars" rates this car a 9 in terms of rarity, with a very high dollar value for an original car. The item "1962 Cadillac Deville 4-Door Hardtop 22 Car With Original Box By Yonezawa NR" is in sale since Sunday, February 11, 2018.
