1962 Cadillac 4-Door Hardtop 22 Custom Paint Car By Yonezawa NR

Another difficult to find Japanese tin car by Yonezawa. This beautifully styled Cadillac 4-door hardtop measures approximately 22" long (55.9 cm) by 8 wide (20.3 cm) and 5.25" tall (13.3 cm).

This is a very nice looking Cadillac, with a wonderful lithographed interior and nice trim, however, it has been custom painted a light metallic Ivory color at some time in the past. The 2 tone blue and silver interior adds a colorful contrast to the custom Ivory paint. The car features nicely detailed tin trim including headlamps; tail lamps, grill and door handles, all of which are in very nice condition.

There are just a very few minor touchups and dimples in the paint, but they are hardly noticeable. The baseplate is very nice and looks to be original. Tires and hubcaps are in very nice condition as are the celluloid windows.

This car displays beautifully, and the friction works, as it should. Ron Smith and William C. Gallagher's "The Big Book of Tin Toy Cars" rates this car a 9 in terms of rarity, with a very high dollar value for an original car.
