This roadster is absolutely beautiful. The scale is a perfect fit for all of the larger tin cars. The beautiful ivory paint is totally original and is accentuated with the gold flock interior. The detailing of this car is exceptional and all of the tin trim is in excellent unused condition.
The celluloid window is original and still exhibits the British Motor Club insignia on the windshield. The friction works, as it should, and the tires and hubcaps are very nice.
The baseplate of course is original. This car looks to be a new old stock version that was never used. The gold-flocked interior is very clean and colorful. The crisp colorful box is very nice, but you can see where tape strips were removed from both sides of the box. Ron Smith and William C.
Gallagher's "The Big Book of Tin Toy Cars" rates this car an 8 in terms of rarity, with a very high dollar value. This car would be an upgrade for many collectors.
