1960 Cadillac Eldorado 18 Customized Japanese Tin Car by Yonezawa NR

Another big and unusual Japanese tin car by Yonezawa. This beautifully styled Cadillac 4-door hardtop measures approximately 18" long (45.7 cm) by 4.5 tall (11.4 cm) and 6.5" wide (16.5 cm). This car is from an old collection and was nicely customized to satisfy the taste of the previous owner.

This is a fabulous custom Cadillac, with a wonderful lithographed interior and beautiful blue celluloid windows. The colorful lithographed interior adds a rich accent to the custom showroom red paint. The custom wheels with whitewall tires, while not original to the car, are fabulous and look as though they belong on the car. I don't know what to tell you about the "Elvis" front license plate, other than I guess he was a fan. Most of the detailed tin trim including headlamps, tail lamps, grill and side trim look great, however there are a couple of areas where the plating is thin and the copper shows through, and there is a rough spot on one of the long thin trim pieces.

They are clearly visible in the photos, but really don't detract from the beauty of this unique customized Cadillac. There is also a small dent right in the nose of the hood. This car displays beautifully, and the friction works, although it can be erratic once in a while. The base plate of course is repainted as well.
