1930 Kingsbury Bluebird Tin Wind Up Land Speed Record Pressed Steel Racer Car

Here is a 90+++ year old small scale version tin windup toy of Malcolm Campbells land speed record breaking BLUEBIRD made by Kingsbury toys. I believe from the late 1920s-early 1930s. This one is approx 18 long and comes exactly as you see it. It has the original paint tin body, windshield, driver, chassis, 4 wheels (front rh tire is chipping apart) wind up mech and everything you see. I believe it had a couple trim pieces on the sides above the rear wheels when new. The wind up is there but the rear wheels just roll. (have to tinker with it if you want that to function). This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! Seems these sort of hot rod racing type things were more known in the 1950s, To find one this early is a great find!

This was found while picking' in an attic of an old home right here in Wisconsin. It has not seen the light of day in decades!

Be the first to enjoy it. It comes exactly as you see as shown. I have taken pics from all angles as well as the top and bottom. The car will display nicely Will look nicer with a basic fine detailing. I think it looks better in person than in the close up pics.

Glass looks fine in person I put a 9v battery on the bottom to do a basic test and it did nothing. I put zero effort into it beyond that.

I have never ever taken the car apart. I took MANY pics and have nothing to hide. FEEL FREE to ask if you have any further questions.
