I will be listing a large quantity of toys over the next few weeks. Please watch my other listings for more early toys. This is a very nice 2 car automobile set with garage! It was made by Republic Tool Products in the 1920's. Republic was similar to Dayton and Turner and one of their designers had previously worked at Dayton.
There is one sportster car and one sport coupe. Both of them feature formed tin drivers, friction motor, and stamped metal wheels. The cars measure 8" long, and the garage measures 9" x 8" x 6.25" high. The friction works well on the blue and red sport coupe; the red convertible slips, it tries to catch but needs some fiddling.
The garage has two opening doors with cotter pin handles. This is a great looking set in all original condition with some overall wear. CONDITION: The cars have some overall paint wear and scratching as shown.
The friction on the sport coupe works well, the convertible friction slips. The garage has alot of paint flaking to the roof and wear as shown.
