Vintage Wind-Up Tin Toy Racing Car 31 Auto Union Habi-Patent Hans Biller US Zone Germany. ITEM CONDITION AS IN THE PICTURES - Wind-Up does not works. These cars were originally produced until 1945 and made of lithographed tin.

The drive was achieved by a clockwork. This Race Cars carried the old "HABI" (Hans Biller) factory badge underneath, on the hood the factory badge of "AUTO UNION" (German prewar car factory in Zwickau - Saxonia) and number 31. The car was able to perform left and right hand circles, pre-selected by a little "steering" lever underneath the front car section.

An additional 5th wheel could be activated / deactivated by a lever - on drivers right hand side -, causing the car to perform extra, only left hand tight circles. This is the model of the legendary "Stromlinienwagen" Auto Union Type C. Constructed by Professor Ferdinand Porsche and Robert Eberan von Eberhorst the car had the motor placed right behind the driver and Bernd Rosemeyer achieved several speed records and won races in the years 1937 / 38.

Bernd Rosemeyer crashed to death in 1938 during a record trial on the motorway Frankfurt - Darmstadt / Germany at a speed of more than 400 Km/h (250 miles/h). The item "Vintage Wind-Up Tin Toy Car Auto Union Habi-Patent Hans Biller US Zone Germany" is in sale since Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
