Here we have a superb tinplate "Bluebird" Land Speed Record Car. Made by Gunthermann (Germany) in the 1930's. It is a very large and impressive toy!!

Measures 20 inches long (510mm). It is in superb, original condition, with a wonderful patina to it just as I like to find them!! There is some minor re-touching in a couple of areas (see photos). (I think these were possibly done at the factory).

Some superb lithography on this one!! The clockwork motor works fine, as does the stop/start mechanism.
