Magnificent 1950/60's large size (49cms long) tinplate Gem friction drive toy

This is a hugely impressive and desirable late 50's early 1960's tinplate toy race car being 49cms (just under 20 inches) long in all original condition. The lithography is in bright unfaded condition with a few light marks which are clearly visible on the photographs.

The most noticeable of these are the chipping to the driver's helmet and the wear to the central skid plank under the car which are shown in detailed pictures. The friction drive and accompanying noise are functional. Toy can be viewed by appointment in Central London.
