HRZ ZIRNDORF W. Germany Tin Litho'50s AUTO TRANSPORT / CAR CARRIER + BOX-D900
This 1950s HRZ (Hans Ruff Zirndorf Western Germany) AUTO TRANSPORT / CAR CARRIER TRUCK is in Excellent original condition, in its original box. Lithographed on the back of the cab is: HRZ , DBP-DBGM ANG. D-900, Made in Western Germany.
The 15-inch long tin toy has a few minor paint abrasions. The cab bumper and grill are bright. All of the plastic windows in the cab and trailer are in place and excellent; but are a little dirty.
The wind-up motor works well, but the key is missing. The enclosed trailer has 2 levels.The rear lever manually lowers the upper level to allow the cars to load or unload down the fold-up ramp. The forward lever lowers and raises the landing gear tires.
The 6 truck rubber tires, plus the landing gear tires are all excellent, as are the tin wheels. The three 3-1/8-inch long tin cars , with plastic tires, are excellent. The original box is torn and tattered, with 5 loose end flaps, and 1 missing flap. This is a great looking and nicely detailed example of this hard to find HRZ auto transport truck. You will be delighted when you haul it into either your German tin, or car carrier toy collection.
