Corgi Toys 266'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Fabulous Corgi at their very best from their purple period. The detail on this model is splendid and superb, the wings on the sides flick out by moving the handbrake forward, and the front and aft wings clip on. However, the real joy is in the fantastic detailing, this is just one of the dozen or so best known and beloved Corgi's, they really pushed the boat out with the fine detailing of this model.

For the film version, six cars were built, including a fully functional road going car, GEN 11, built in Hertfordshire in 1967, fitted with a Ford 3000 V6 engine, the car has now been in private ownership in Stratford Upon Avon since the early 1970's. I always photograph my items close up (not all sellers do this) and from different angles using a good quality camera, as I feel that this provides buyers with a true and honest representation of the item for sale, in addition, these photo's were taken under bright white LED lights which tend to highlight an items flaws, but as can be seen, these pictures simply show that this item is in truly superb condition, especially for a toy that's 53 years old.

Paint work is both Original and in excellent condition, the odd chip, but very little paint loss anywhere. Wings eject out and return into position beautifully. All of the characters are originals, no reproductions. Front and rear wings are metal, not plastic replacements.
