1 Race Car Tin Litho Wind Up Toy Racer with Celluloid Driver. This is an extremely rare racer that I have never seen before or was able to find any other reference to another one. It was produced by a CY of Japan.
This company is also extremely rare and I was unable to find the name of the company anywhere or any other toys produced by them. To my knowledge this is the one and only one in existence! This piece is all original, complete and in excellent plus to near mint condition with bright clean litho. The celluloid driver has no cracks or breaks. It appears that the car was never played with since there is no wear on the wheels. The racer works great and when wound, the car races straight forward or in a circle. This is controlled by changing the position of the front axle.It features all tin construction with detailed colorful lithography, celluloid driver, nickel grill and mechanical windup motor. The CY Toy logo and Made in Japan are printed on the side of the car. This will make a fantastic rare one of a kind addition to your collection!
