1960 Japan Ichida Ford Gyron Tin B/O Concept Car WithOB No Reserve

Here's a rare old toy from my personal toy collection. This is a Ford Gyron modeled after an actual concept car made by FoMoCo right around 1960. This toy is fully functionable.

Install a D battery, flip the switch and the car will move about randomly, then stop, then open and close the canopy, and then start to move again. This toy has been on display for decades, and will not work exactly as it did when new.

The features are often hesitant to work but, work it does. The only issues that I see on this toy is that there is a tiny dent on the hood of the car, there is some light scratching on the bottom plate, and the plastic front windshield is missing.

That should be easy to remedy, for the tabs to hold the piece of plastic are still in place. The battery box is clean. The car on the box matches the color scheme of this toy. The original box is in fair shape with some light staining/discoloration, and one missing staple holding the corner in place.
