1956 Plymouth Belvedere 4 Door Hardtop Japanese Tin Car by Alps/Sato NR

Another large Japanese tin car with a nice reproduction box by Alps/Sato. This beautifully styled 1956 Plymouth 4 door hardtop measures approximately 11.75" long (29.8 cm) by 3.75 tall (9.5 cm) and 4.5" wide (11.4 cm). This hard to find car is the battery operated version with electric headlights and a bumper system that enables the car to reverse direction when running into an object. The car can also be set to run in a figure 8 pattern, and should it encounter an obstacle, it reverses direction and continues the pattern. Regardless to say its hard to find these cars with all of the actions working. All of the actions on this car work perfectly. The condition of the car is very nice.

There are a few touchups on the white roof, and there is a touched up scratch on the hood. They really are not bad.

The beautifully lithographed interior adds terrific detailing to the overall presentation. The tin trim including bumpers, grill, side trim and taillights are very nice. The celluloid in the windows is clean and very clear.

The rubber wheels are nice and show little wear. The hubcaps look great and the whitewalls are exceptional. The baseplate and the battery box are original and very clean as well.
